The party

Kyla watched him, she didnt know why she was doing it, but she was. She couldnt help it, she'd been watching him for about 3 months and still hadnt gotten up the nerve to talk to him. He turned around and she just knew he had seen her. She quickly turned away and went back to pouring herself a sprite.

Jake wasnt her type, Jake wasnt meant for her, Jake was a punk, Jake beat up a guy, Jake could never make her happy, Jake Jake Jake.

The thoughts ran through her head un-conrtollably, all the things she'd heard about him and all the things she'd said herself. She couldnt help but wonder if any of it was true, if anyone really knew this kid.

Then it hit her, why was he even here? This was a party, as in "jocks preps and cheerleaders" kinda party. As in "no jake allowed". As in "what the hell was he doing here"

She turned around again...but it was to late, he was no where to be found. Figures, he always had a funny way of disapearing like that.

Skylar came over and hugged her. "OMG you will never believe what i just heard!!!" Kyla turned back to her sprite so Skylar couldnt see the annoyed expression on her face. She through in an edge of perkiness to her voice that could only be discribed as very very good mock enthusiasm "OMG what?!?!?!" She heard Skylar move her hands off her hips, kyla was pretty sure they would be held in front of her like she always did when she was gossiping "I just heard that Tyler is sooooo totally crushing on u!!!!" Skylar grabbed kylas shoulders then and spun her around.

They both started squealing, but Kyla definietly wasnt feeling it. She didnt care about Tyler, she didnt care that she was at his house, and she didnt care that he was "sooooooo totally crushing" on her.

All she cared about was finding Jake.
